After presenting its third generation of pilot at Chicago auto show in 2015, Honda developers are working on a newer version of the pilot model. We expect the 2017 Honda Pilot to be bigger with most of the changes concentrated on the front and interior parts of the vehicle. The SUV will come with more interior space and new interior technological improvement. Space that is more interior will lead to some changes in the overall size of the vehicle, meaning it will be wider and longer than its predecessor will.
2017 Honda Pilot Changes, Exterior
The design of the new 2017 model will feature a smooth body contours relief plane aerodynamic profile that is enhanced with graceful lines that are very interesting. The model will also feature a stylish front area that come with picturesque grille, three bums that forms solid chrome and new designed LED headlights. next generation Honda Pilot also features a front that is in a complex design allowing a bigger bumper to fit perfectly. It will have a larger body measurement the when compared to the 2015 model. The back are is decorated by a simple style that features large tailgate with a large glass area. The back also has a compact rear bumper that is generously covered with black plastic.
2017 Honda Pilot Interior
The 2017 Pilot crossover has a beautiful interior that is complemented by genuine wood and leather. The SUV comes in a seven-seater version with two captain chairs on the second row. The luggage compartment is very impressive. When the back seats are raised, the capacity is around 550 liters and when the chair is folded, the volume raised to around 3000 liters.
The front seats are equipped with heating and ventilation functions. The dashboard has a two semi circular scales alongside a screen of an onboard computer helps the driver to set specific configurations and connections. The system also consists of 8-inch screen multimedia system Honda Connect running Android and a 9-inch ceiling displace with five USB port at the back seat.
Engine and transmission
This model is powered by a 3.5 liter petrol unit V6 engine with a capacity of 280 HP and also a torque of 267 lb-ft. The 2017 Honda Pilot engine is couples with a VCM system that allow inactive mode of drive that breaks two or three of the six cylinders. Honda is expected to start selling their 3rd generation, new Honda pilot 2017 release date should be at the last quarter of 2016. The prices are expected to remain unchanged meaning that the base model(LX 2wd) will retail at around 35,000 thousand US dollars, LX-AWD $38,500, LX-Honda Sensing $39,500, EX $41,500, EX-L $44,500, EX-L Navi / EX-L RES $45,500 and 2017 Honda Pilot touring is about $50.000.
