Since its introduction in 2016, Honda HR-V has performed pretty well on the market. A mid-cycle refresh is being worked on to increase the competitive edge of this car and place it at the same level as Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-3. The 2019 Honda HR-V reveals a modern and stylish crossover SUV with great design features.
2019 Honda HR-V Changes, Exterior
The exterior design includes latest changes in the headlights, rear and front splash guards, heated power mirrors, and front wiper de-icer. The 17-inch wheels have five spokes to further enhance the performance and elegance.
The front bumper contains fog lights that have been slightly offset. The side silhouette looks good with narrowed rear windows. The rear end anchors a pleasant roof spoiler, LED rear lights, and a simple bumper. There is some resemblance to this car’s rear with that of the Citroen C3.

Honda HR-V 2019 Interior
The interior will feature an upgraded fabric and leather material in two main colors of grey and black. The seats are strategically placed to give you excellent visibility and enhanced safety. Depending on your preferred trim, there is a possibility of the seats being heated and ventilated. The dash won’t change much except for the inclusion of bright blue backlight on its three-cluster panel.
At the center of the dash, there is a multimedia touch display and a navigation system.

The infotainment system retains its prestigious design and is backed with the AC controls. In terms of capacity, the car offers about 453 liters of space which is sufficient enough to comfortably accommodate all the passengers. There is a lot of tech features to enhance its safety. Some of these features include lane departure warning system and a rear-view camera.
The 2019 HR-V is expected to use two petrol engine options of 1.5 and 1.8 liters. The 1.5-liter engine has the capacity to produce 120 horsepower and 115 lb-ft of torque. The 1.8-liter engine on its part offers 141 horsepower and a torque of 172 lb-ft. There should be hybrid option, probably in combination with 1.5 liter engine, but time will tell…In terms of transmission, the car will either use a 6-speed manual transmission system or a CVT option.

The CVT system will come with paddle shifters to give you more control over the delivery of power. 2019 Honda Vezel (HRV for Japanese buyers) should be able to hit the top speeds of 123 mph and be able to move from 0 to 62 mph in just 8.6 seconds. Honda is expected to retain this car as an FWD but introduces more responsive devices to improve performance.
Price and release date
This new Honda HR-V 2019 is expected to reach the market within the first half of 2019. The basic model should cost around $19-20,000 while its loaded AWD model will cost more than $25,500 and hybrid $27,500.
