The brand new model from Honda named 2018 Honda Odyssey will be one fantastic minivan. Despite the fact that the three-row crossover SUVs are now more popular and that very often this kind of vehicles replace the minivans, the minivan market is still great. The new Odyssey is certainly the proof that not only the three-row SUVs are fantastic. This newly model will be the main rival to the well known Chrysler Pacifica, and we can certainly expect very good battle here. This model was unveiled at the 2017 North American International Auto, and all impressions are quite great. Now we are 100% sure that Honda Company has no intention of losing the minivan share. As we know, this model makes its debut 22 years ago, or more precisely back in 1995. Now, the recently developed model will be the fifth generation. In the next review, you can find out something more about this model, and also to see why this van is the perfect choice for you.
2018 Honda Odyssey Exterior design
The 2018 Odyssey exterior design will be more stylish now compared to the previous model. However, we can expect only some minor tweaks and nothing too much notable or radically. This model will receive more modifications in the technology section. However, let’s move on some details from the outside. First of all, we have to say that this model looks very massive and that the whole chassis will be made from lightweight materials in order to reduce the fuel consumption. The front fascia will remain almost the same as on the previous model and here we can see nicely designed connection between the grille and the headlights.

The grille will have a lot of chrome materials, and one wide horizontal slat with the Honda logo in the middle. Also, the headlights of this model will be powered by the updated LED technology compared to the previous model. Down low, the bumper will be most likely a bit more massive, and here are notable large openings for the fog lights. According to pictures, we can expect one rectangular for light and under it one rounded fog light. The rear part got some changes and here we can expect C-shaped taillights. Also, this vehicle will provide larger wheels (19-inch alloy) compared to the previous model, also larger tires, as well as a floating D-pillar.

Honda Odyssey 2018 Interior design
The interior design will definitely receive more changes compared to the exterior, and most of the changes are related to the technology. The comfort of the cabin will be on the amazingly high level. The seats will be simply fantastic. The second row of seats is for example very interesting. More precisely, if you want to can have separated chairs for two or on the other hand seating for three. But that had the previous model as well, and the main change is that you can now position the middle section further forward.
Also, all the seats including the second and the third row will be wrapped in the high-quality leather and it will be adjustable in so many ways. When it comes to technology section, we can expect the addition of some newest ones. For example, this model will provide CabinWatch system in which we can expect an infrared camera that will enable the system to work both in darkness or daylight. In the center of the beautifully designed dash, we can see a 10.2-inch screen equipped with the 4G LTE WI-Fi, PBS Kids, iHeartRadio. There are many features like heated front seats, 8-inch touchscreen(driver), two 10-inch touchscreens for rear seats(optionally) Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, CabinControl system, heated steering wheel, wireless device charging, multi-zone audio, automatic climate control…

Engine and Performance
Underneath the hood, the minivan will be powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine. This engine will stay the only engine offering, but now we can expect some upgrades on it. It will be capable of generating up to 280 horsepower instead of previous 248 horses. Also, now we can expect the newly transmissions system. Instead of the old six-speed automatic, now we can expect the newly developed nine-speed unit. (The same we can see in the Pilot model)
The upper trims will have 10-speed automatic transmissions system. We don’t have EPA rates at this point, but according to the fact that we can expect 100 pounds lighter chassis as well as newly transmissions system, it is certain that we can expect better fuel economy compared to the previous model.
