2018 Honda HR-V review

Honda HR-V is a 2018 made SUV that is economically acceptable substitute rated at a scale of 3.5 out of 5 stars. It is an improved version of its subcompact and corporate cousin the Honda Fit Hatchback. The latest 2018 Honda HR-V comes in couple trim combinations, LX, EX and EX-L NAVI trim. New Honda crossover can be customized in many combinations, from the different types of transmission, drive to multimedia options.

The Honda HR-V has a very generous ground clearance of 6.7 inches such as that of a Jeep Renegade giving if a more car-like feeling from the driver’s seat. The car gets its sporty profile from the shape and looks of its sharply curved side contours and the sloping roofline. It also has some roof-rack crossbars and classy rooftop bike carrier. The Honda’s classy and well-made interior has not gotten hearts racing. This 2018 HR-V has got a very durable cabin that can surely go against the test of time. The cabin space is spacious enough with good legroom even for those with heights. Thanks to its sloping rooftop that gives it enough space for headroom. It has a seating height of 25.7 inches is accurately monitored by H-Point machine that in conjunction with a laser device is perfectly capable of rectifying the roof pillar visibility obstructions or the blind spot providing a safe driving interface.

From the front cabin, the driver has a forward visibility of 153 degrees and a rear visibility of 126 degrees. Honda HR-V has an excellent interior sound insulation technology keeping passengers from ambient noise. The car has 7 cup holders evenly distributed on all the seats. The Honda HR-V 2018 is fitted with a 1.8 liters SOHC, i-VTEC 4 cylinder engine. Power output gives 141 ponies @ 6500 rpm, and torque of 127 lb.-ft. @ 4300 rpm. It also has all-wheel drive options. The new Honda HR-V 2018 engine pairs to a continually variable automatic transmission – CVT (EX and EX-L NAVI trim, on LX available) and also a six-speed manual transmission (LX trim standard). All-wheel drive models come only with automatic CVT and only with EX-L NAVI trim as standard, other two trims are on front-wheel-drive as standard(FWD). Of course, all other combinations are available.

Using the front wheel drive it takes 8.6 seconds to get to a speed of 60 mph, and while using the all-wheel drive, it gets to the same speed in 9.3 seconds which is a bit slower. HR-V is an excellent fuel sipper having a highway rating of 6.9 liters for a 100 km or 34 mpg when using the front wheel drive. Hence with its 13.2-gallon fuel tank, the front wheel drive and the all-wheel drive should provide an even 400 miles highway cruising range. Honda can have an average consumption rate of 9.6 liters for a 100 km or 24.5 mpg if driven in or within a city; while spending 7.6 l for a 100 km or 31 mpg combined.

The Honda HR-V price as per the release date of 2018 June ranges from $19,570 to roughly $30,250 depending on your region of purchase. Honda is a car that can be affordable to many as a result of its pocket-friendly price. The vehicle can also meet both personal/private purposes or even for use by companies and parastatals for staff commuting.
