Recently we have seen the iX3, Maybach, and Sylphy zero-emissions concepts, this is clearly preparing for the future market. Another electric car from far east was recently revealed during the 2018 Beijing motor show. This is the 2018 Honda Everus EV Concept and it is likely to be first Honda’s EV car to be produced on a large scale. It will have “Everus” like the brand name. Even though it remains a technical concept at the moment, the assembly plans seem to be at an advanced stage.
2018 Honda Everus EV Concept Exterior
The exterior of the EV concept appears like that of the Honda’s HR-V crossover. The electric version of the HR-V model has already been sold in the US and several other markets as Vezel. The front end looks slightly different although the bodywork retains the HR-V’s descending line. The other feature that has been picked directly from the HR-V model is the invisible rear door handles. The makeover of the front section makes this car look unique and slightly different from the subcompact HR-V SUV.
2018 Everus EV Concept Interior
The interior has been designed with the youthful and futuristic style. There will be new levels of connectivity based on a shared service provided by the Reachstar company. The car is expected to accommodate four adults in a comfortable way with the front passengers sharing a single bench seat. An elongated digital screen and infotainment panel will be the key highlights on the dashboard. Additional screens for displaying camera feeds are expected on the top door panels.

The engine specifications for the Everus EV concept are expected to relate closely to the engine from the Honda Clarity model. The EPA mileage ranging is expected to be 89 miles. The crossover is also expected to include Honda’s sensing features. This includes driver-assistance technologies and intelligent safety suite. These features are expected to enable you to stay aware and avoid a collision on the road. The car will use a Synchronous Electric Motor of 120kW AC and direct-drive single-speed transmission.
Price and release date
The car is expected to start trading in China towards the end of 2018. The price of the car should be slightly higher than $33,000.
