Recently the Honda team presented to the public an off-road motorcycle model throughout the ‘CRF Collective’ that was held at Fox Racing headquarters. One of the models that were revealed during this event is the 2019 Honda CRF450L. This model comes with true dual-purpose capabilities that include off-road abilities, easier handling, and quality suspension.
2019 Honda CRF450L Exterior
The exterior design of the 2019 CRF450L is a slight modification of the CRF450R motocross racer. Instead of compromising the frame and suspension to boost its off-road capabilities, Honda went for straight corners and similar parts bin found in racing motorcycles. Its compact lightweight design features high-intensity headlights that illuminate wider areas to maximize on the riding time. The bike also comes with superior ergonomics that improves the rider’s comfort.

Unlike the CRF450R model which has the 19-inch rear wheel, this model uses the 18-inch wheel that fits the enduro-spec tires. An additional cush drive has been included to soak in the chain shock. The chain has been shielded using a plastic chain guard. For the front, the bike uses a 21-inch IRC GP21 wheel whose size is 80/100-21, the brake is twin-piston caliper with the single disc (size 260mm). The rear tire is an IRC GP22 w/ tube of size 120/80-18, the brake is the single disc with the size of 240mm. Curb weight is 289 pounds. Also included are the mirrors, LED lighting, and a dedicated exhaust system that gives it the street legality.

Honda CRF450L 2019 Equipment
The interior design of the Honda CRF450L borrows extensively from that of the CRF450R and CRF450X models. The bike comes with several tops of the class features including the adjustable Showa suspension and Unicam powerplant.

It has a fuel mileage meter that displays the average fuel mileage, current mileage, and fuel consumption. This helps you to calculate the bike’s range and plan your gas stops. There are two trip meters, A and B, and both displays in either kilometer or mile units. Also included in the digital instrument panel is the odometer, speedometer, and digital clock.
A final-drive sprocket damper has been included in its design to make the bike less bulky and quieter. The radiator has been equipped with a light electric fan to make it possible to ride the bike in various weather conditions. It comes with a premium titanium tank that is tough, light and large enough to hold 2.0 gallons of fuel.
The bike uses a liquid-cooled 449.7cc 4-stroke single-cylinder unicam engine. The cylinder combines some of the best overhead-cam designs to make the engine light. The compression ratio for this engine is 12.0:1. A PGM-FI 46mm throttle bore fuel injection system has been preferred for this model. This system allows the bike to have superb torque, spot-on metering, and great response in critical conditions.

The bike has a push-button electric starter system that makes sure that you have trouble-free starting in various conditions. The transmission system is a constant-mesh 6-speed manual return. This combines with the 6-spring multi-plate wet clutch to provide superior riding capabilities. The six-speed gearbox also offers an all-around gear that can tackle slow situations, tight corners, and highway riding. The ignition system is full transistorized while the valve train is a four-valve Unicam OHC.
Price and release date
The new Honda CRF450L is likely to arrive in the showrooms from September 2018 as a 2019 model. To acquire this bike, you will be required to pay about $10,399. An additional destination fee of $330 is also expected.
